Right now something DaNCEBUMS is thinking about is creating a visual album. We are asking: how we can take our dance-band concept, expand it, and scale it up? Yes – Beyoncé did it first but that just means that DaNCEBUMS is going to do it next.
Here are 5 videos we are looking towards for information, inspiration, and imagination.
Flashback to 2014. DaNCEBUMS is onstage at the Minneapolis Theater Garage. Karen banters with the audience. She tells them, “This is the last stop on our Everyone Buy Us More Snacks tour. We’re happy to be home and we’re ready to rock.” She pushes a hole in our egg carton sampler pad, the music begins (clap track in tow), and we dance.
Three years later and we actually are a band, preparing for a month long residency at Icehouse in Minneapolis. Modern dance is not something you expect to see at a bar, and you may be asking, “Why?”
DaNCEBUMS top dance jam picks for Halloween partying. No cheesy-scary themes here – just a few songs to get the dance party started.
